Background
In December 2021, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) entered into a comprehensive contract with Alpine Works Limited for HVAC maintenance services, which is set to run until November 2025. This partnership aims to ensure the safe and efficient operation of LSHTM’s heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across multiple sites, including high containment laboratories that require specialised maintenance.
Objectives
The primary objectives of this contract include providing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) as well as reactive maintenance services to support LSHTM’s operations and infrastructure. The scope of the PPM contract includes:
- TP2 Site: HVAC, chillers, chilled beams, pumps, automated doors, and boilers.
- Keppel Street Site: HVAC, chillers, chilled beams, pumps, automated doors, pressurised units, boilers, drain and gutter cleaning.
Alpine Works also undertakes reactive maintenance at both sites, through our 24/7, 365 day emergency helpdesk support as well as supporting LSHTM by facilitating specialised works and contributing to infrastructure upgrades and larger projects.
Service Delivery
Alpine Works remains committed to high-quality service delivery, including issuing detailed service reports for each visit and attending regular management review meetings with the client teams.
Works were handled well and they were easy to manage from a client perspective. Works delivered on time within LSHTM provided closure window. Cost was defined and transparent, with no exclusions which is always good.
Alpine’s team was responsive and pro-active and provided any answers and clarity when and where required.
