UCL – Student Union Shop Fit Out
Location: University College London, South Junction
Project Overview:
University College London (UCL) sought to convert an empty retail space, South Junction, into a modern, functional convenience store managed by students. This conversion required comprehensive enabling works to ensure the space was fit for retail use while adhering to UCL’s standards for health, safety, and operational functionality.
Key Project Elements:
The project involved shell and core improvements, including the installation of new mechanical and electrical systems tailored for the shop’s needs, along with new air conditioning, fire and security upgrades, and lighting.
New partitions were added to create a storeroom, doors removed, and new flooring and decorations applied. Additional repairs were made to the large roof light, and associated ceiling works carried out.
